Ross Mitchell, son of Old Timers board member Charlie Mitchell and nephew of board members John and Mike Mitchell, pitched 5 shutout innings to get the win agains Vanderbilt in Mississippi State's SEC tournament championship against Vanderbilt.  Mississippi State will play in the Tallahassee Region of the NCAAs.   Vanderbilt will play in the Raleigh Region.

Nashville's Belmont Bruins, regular season and tournament champs of the A-Sun Conference, are headed to the Baton Rouge Region.  Head coach of the Bruin baseball team is fellow Old Timers board member Dave Jarvis.
